Considering Home Schooling what are the start up fees?

  • There is no actual fees. You might end up spending thousands on curriculum if you are not careful but you can also do it for next to nothing if you are smart about it. Check out the laws for your state here http://www.hslda.org/laws/default.asp I would also suggest joining a group and as Dawn said Happy Homeschoolers is great its very active and helpful. I would also check out your local library. Mine had several books about homeschooling and offered great suggestions for saving money.

  • Depends, could be $0 to hundreds. Depending on if you find free materials, use the library...etc. Or if you choose an online program with books to buy...etc.

  • It's entirely up to the individual. You need to decide what items you need to get started and then shop around for the best deals on those items.

  • google search your state laws first to find out what needs to be done, every state is different. As for start up costs, you can print things off the computer, go to the library, use a satellite school or just go buy books. the cost depends on you and what you want to do.
