Anyone get a expensive wig?

For cancer patients. My DD found a site for wigs made with your own donated hair. A deposit & the cost of like $1,100.-$1,400. Any one else go through this? Curious on what you did or others! Thank you for your replies.

  • i've only ever donated my hair. but it gave my grandmothera discount for her wig, because my hair replaced the hair that was used for her wig. i think hers was around 400, and she hardly ever wore it.

  • Synthetic wigs are very realistic looking and hold their set. Real hair wigs lose their set just like real hair. It has been 12 years ago, but I paid about $150 for a nice quality synthetic wig. They are warm, though. I don't know if natural hair wigs are warm.
