2000 pages of deal making, college loan takeover, medicaid cuts, and THEY FORGOT THE KIDS??? Who's in charge, anyway?

Obama made better coverage for children a centerpiece of his health care remake, but it turns out the letter of the law provided a less-than-complete guarantee that kids with health problems would not be shut out of coverage.
Under the new law, insurance companies still would be able to refuse new coverage to children because of a pre-existing medical problem, said Karen Lightfoot, spokeswoman for the House Energy and Commerce Committee, one of the main congressional panels that wrote the bill Obama signed into law Tuesday.
However, if a child is accepted for coverage, or is already covered, the insurer cannot exclude payment for treating a particular illness, as sometimes happens now.

Also it turns out Reid never got around to including Obama's highly touted vow to let young adults stay on their parents’ plans until age 26 in the Senate bill.

  • I never complained about Bush, but you all seriously need to get a life or something. This Obama bashing gets old. I did not vote for Obama, but even I see this as all a bunch of chattery ignorance day in and day out.

You have an issue with the Associated Press wire service? Oh this should be entertaining. Please, enlighten us, why is one of the two main news sources for the entire planet an "unreliable source"

  • What they fail to tell you is that if you are insured, you cannot be excluded from another insurance even if you have a preexisting condition. It is ONLY IF YOU DID NOT HAVE INSURANCE at the time of the condition!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111
