  • I would get a goldfish. Pretty cheap startup, still teaches responsibility, and kids like to watch them.

  • well i was going to say a small dog. lol but thats out of the question... i would say a turtle, all you need is a tank and habitat, i would prefer the small ones that stay small and is a land turtle,:)

  • a cat!!!! go to a shelter or the humane society....i went there and found the most sweet loving gorgeous fluffy cat and because she had been there so long the adoption fee was only $25....i buy 40 lb bags of cat food and cat litter that last months and cost $10 each...i absolutely love my cat and she's a huge part of the family...she gives us so much love and happiness, i can't imagine not having her so i always say go with a cat for an inexpensive pet

  • My son has a whites tree frog-- he lives in an aquarium and is pretty low maintenance. Otherwise fish might be a good choice.

  • IDK but I Would advise against the turtle they are EXPENSIVE to maintain. You need an expensive heater to keep it alive and without it the turtle will suffer and die a long slow horrible death.

  • We are working with guppies right now. It's cheap start up. When they die, they are cheap to replace. We're on like our 10th guppy.
