In order to have more room to send more troops? I just read that they are removing "non-essentials" at bases in Afghanistan in order to make room to bring in an additional 35,000 U.S. and allied troops in the next few months. What are they removing? The little luxuries the troops there DO have like restaurants such as Burger King, Dairy Queen, Orange Julius and Pizza Hut, dropping first-run movies from base theaters and cutting the amount of canned and bottled imported from the States.
I understand fully the need to have more room to bring in necessary supplies like ammo, food, water, etc. However, the article does say that they will get increased fitness centers and phone/internet capabilities so that will be nice for them. Link posted below.
Opinions? Good thing to do or bad?
