Child weight gain

My son hasn't gained weight in a year. He is five years old. Is this normal?

  • Yes. Kids at that age gain weight VERY slowly. It's nothing to be concerned about, as long as he eats.

  • Yes very normal the grow up and loose the baby fat. My son is 6 and has gained 5 lbs in the last 2 years but has slimmed down and gotten talled.

  • Totally normal. My son has gained about half a pound in the past 6 months but he's sprouted a couple of inches. Kids tend to pudge out a bit and then stretch out again.

  • they don't gain much at this age typically. Just be sure he is eating. My son is 6 and tends to just grow in height but gets skinny...Once he was not so skinny! LOL
