  • what does SHE want/like?
sorry but 8th graders have very wide range of tastes so what an 8th grader I know might like, she might hate.

  • If she already has an ipod buy her a itunes gift card.
Or a visa gift card is great. You can use it anywhere.

  • Is she sentimental and/or girly? My sis and I started a heart necklace for our daughters ,both in college now, a little younger than yours.A nice long silver chain necklace with smallish charm bracelet links. We give hearts all the time, some are very expensive, some are less but I just like them and some are engraved Others are a stone i.e. lapis, turquoise any way we give these for any event to mark an occasion or even Christmas. Most of the time they get lots more but they really like their necklaces with each heart representing something.

CONGRATS to your daughter and you too.

  • Hard to say without knowing what type of girl she is or how much you want to spend. The iPod is a great gift, my son loves his. Jewelry is always nice too. Another idea is a "Day at the Spa" for you and her.......manis, pedis, facial and makeup, lunch.
