If you were told tomorrow that you were either going to be deaf or blind and the decision was yours what would it be?

I would take being deaf! I love to see the smile on my DD's face. It lights up my day. I can see things and don't have to hear them to make me happy.

  • Deaf, for sure.

I'd rather be able to watch my kids grow up and not have to hear their tantrums. Lol.

Seriously though, I think I personally, would adjust better to being deaf than I would to blindness.

  • Deaf! I am too scared that if I was blind I wouldn't see a bug in my food! I can't even eat with the lights dim, I need to see my food.

  • BlooBird: Funny! I agree. Being deaf would be better I know some sign language and so does my DD! :)
LailaMay: I agree with the not hearing tantrums. Mine is whining that I'd be happy to not hear! :)

  • i'd rather be deaf than blind. i know how to read & will still be able to write so communication (even w/o sign language) is still possible.
