Maybe this will work.... Live in your underwater home free!!!

Obama wants to take millions of dollars to let people dump their home loan payments for 6 months while they try and redo their mortgages. Fair or a waste of money? It's not going to help the foreclosure rate and already 50% of people who have redone their mortgages have relapsed again. Is this the answer?

  • Don't take this the wrong way, but I don't get it.... On the one hand you guys are always complaining about people losing jobs, losing homes, and why isn't Obama doing anything about it, and on the other hand you seem to complain when he DOES try to do something to help. So what exactly do you want him to do, other than wave a magic wand and make everything disappear? And please don't mention the healthcare bill, people in danger of losing their homes right now have NOTHING to do with that.

That is the most right thing you have said.. You don't get it... Encourage jobs with Tax Holiday's, low corporate Tax, etc.. Encorage small biz development. But it is NOT the government's job to step in and take from one group to give to another.

  • Hmmm...6 more months of home propping? Interesting timing...just before the mid-term elections! You don't think he would try and buy votes of those forever indebted to him for granting them an extension on the inevitable?

  • Wow, this is why people won't admit it when they don't understand something very often. A lot of you turn into superior shits about it.

Some people want big government, want to government to step in and in a lot of places they have to. Just because you don't agree doesn't make you right. Step off the soapbox and just try to explain something nicely.

anon, she did say it in another post.  You can search her answers and check it out for yourself.  What's wrong with stating facts?  Or would you rather we get all emotional about it?

  • ~ Some people want big government, want to government to step in and in a lot of places they have to. Just because you don't agree doesn't make you right. ~

    Yes it does.

I find it very difficult to be nice, or even civil, to anyone who understands so little about what this country is, what it's founding principals were, and WHY it became a world leader in such a short period of time and wants to change it into a socialist dung heap because they think everyone 'owes' them something.

I have no way to get onto the same level of thinking with a person who would be angry if someone ripped their purse off their shoulder or broke into their home ~ but who can't understand that that is what the government is doing to people who DO work when they tax them and than give that money to people who won't. That's not government, that's legalized theft ~ and I want to pop Uncle Sam's hand (and those others) and say 'not yours'!

  • It's like enabling the drug addict 2 days before he hits bottom, over and over and over again. They have to let it crash and work itself out. We will never have a real recovery until it does. All they're doing is enabling it to death.
