anyone ever use urine to fertilize lawn or plants?

  • dog pee burns grass. wouldn't think it would be good for plants

  • yup, to save myself from cleaning the toilet I tell DH to go out side and pee on my flowers. Makes em smell better.

  • Oh brother, I'm guess you overheard someone talking about fertilizer - UREA, not urine. It's an ingredient in some stuff. You want a good grade fertilizer, like a 9-18-9 unless you've got off-levels in your soil.

  • No, I have 2 basset hounds that prefer to live outside in the backyard.....you can tell where they LOVE to pee the most, it has KILLED the grass and plants.

  • i read that urea and urine are the same exact thing and that diluted urine acts as fertilizer and non diluted kills grass

  • Urine can kill grass, though it will keep animals away.
