  • "Other countries offer SIGNIFICANTLY lower business taxes, which is why they relocate!"

Those other countries are more profitable to do business in because they don't have human rights issues like we do in the US. Sure the taxes are certainly part of it, but a bigger part is that in China they don't have the labor laws that we do here or any of the protections for workers. Their "employees" can work endless shifts, for pennies, in dangerous conditions. They'll work anyone to death (literally) children, the elderly, pregnant women - it doesn't matter. When the workers die, there are 10 more waiting for these deadly jobs.

In the US workers are entitled to fair wages, and safe working conditions. Hate on labor unions all you want, they're what is protecting our workers from these same conditions.

  • Because they are cheaper then American made. Have you ever tried to go shopping and buy only American made product? Don't try to go to Walmart and do that. Seem most of their stuff is made in China.
    Are you a American?

  • It's not our call! You see those politicians that everyone thinks actually care about average Americans down on "Main Street, USA" make it nearly impossible for business and industry to thrive here in America, due to all of the taxes and regulations imposed!

Lowering corporate and small business taxes, and offering incentives, instead of punishing them for being successful, WOULD bring back or re-establish new and existing business to this country!

Other countries offer SIGNIFICANTLY lower business taxes, which is why they relocate! This country USED to be business friendly, not any more! Capitalism and being successful is not welcome under our liberal/progressive leadership.

  • Sad to say just about everything is made in China, I try my best not to buy anything made in China, it's hard to avoid sometimes, but a Country that forces women to get abortions and imprisons Christians for practicing their faith or even just having a bible is just evil.

I think that people buy things that they don't need. A lot of products are cheap low in quality it most of this products aren't necessary for us to buy. The dollar store have lots of items made in China these products are sold to "impulse buyers" per say.

  • I avoid buying things that are made in China at all costs. Not to mention the Chinese are constantly slipping things into our products...lead, rocket fuel, saw dust, etc. I highly doubt all these incidences have been "accidents."

  • umm while I don't actually care if Chinese citizens are unemployed or not (their problem not ours!) I think that it is very difficult for people to find items that aren't made there!

A friend recently purchased a fishing knife online - the 'designer & retailer' for this knife was local; so he ordered it - only to receive the package and find a notice on the package that stated the knife was made in China to the specifications provided by this local company!

  • Have you tried to find things that aren't made in China. Besides, the fact is it is cheaper and thats what people want. In this day and time many people HAVE to buy as inexpensively as they can to survive.
