Rep. Dingell (D) say's he 'goofed' are you buying that?

Dingell now say's he 'goofed' when he made the comment about legislation to control the people.I don't buy it.I think it was a little slip up like a freudian slip. There have been many of these little slips coming from D.C. recently. Some not even slips like this one from rep Perriello where he says we'd have to tie their hands behind their back or they will keep stealing.Just how much more out in the open can these people get with their agenda? Are you buying the excuses?

  • Democrats are very self-important, like caretakers, and need masses to "oversee".

It makes their lives worth living.

  • You are damned straight he goofed. LOL
Thing is, the goof he made was in telling the truth. How could you say that and not mean it?

  • Why is it when Democrats make "off color" remarks they're called "mistakes?" But when a Republican makes one, it's a heartless, racist, and calculating comment?!

Ever notice how MINUTES after a remark is called out, there are massive amounts of backpeddling involved? For such highly educated people who CHOOSE to live their life in the spotlight, who are forever SPEAKING on behalf of the people, they do make A LOT of gaffes!!

  • They say a gaffe is when a politician accidentally tells the truth. I tend to agree with that theory.

  • Why can't we all just speak the truth? It is NOT okay to say these kinds of things whether there is a D. or an R. after your name!
All the media will be spinning this their way. Fox will make it into the most inappropriate racist statement ever and highly insensitive to survivors of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. And, in turn, the rest will make it into "no big deal," because he was "just joking." That is the truth. Realize that the media doesn't tell the truth. EITHER SIDE!

  • Liberals are allowed to take back what they say... When Conservatives do it... That's a different picture... (See Newt question from last week)

  • Of course he goofed. He wasn't supposed to say that out loud in public. I'm sure Nancy chewed him up one side and down the other for letting the cat out of the bag like that.
