whats going on? please read

this morning my 14 yr dd woke up at noon at was crying very hard. The right side of her face (anything under here ear) is swollen all the way down to her neck. she does have allergics to like dust and pollen ect. but this is more on here jaw line. It hurts when she lies down or leans over and even the little touch or she moves her tounge she is in killer pain. I have no clue what this is and what i should do; we have been keeping heat on her face but its not getting better. what should we do and do u have any clue what this may be?

  • im not going to call a doctor for somthing we have no idea about and they are not open atm!

  • (just a little fyi... calling the dr when you don't know what is going on is probably the best time to call.) sounds like it my be something to go to the ER for.

  • Take her to the doctor and have him check for allergic reactions and lymph infections. He probably will anyway. Go to a walk in clinic or urgent care if you need to, but do it today.

  • Could be mono, could be tonselitis, could be an absessed tooth or even wisdom teeth coming in. Whatever it is, you need to go to the ER...you're daughters heath is more important than any medical bills could be. If you really are that broke, you can always call the billing department and they can help you to arrange payments or they could pay the bill partially. Good luck...
