Need low carb ideas!

My dad is coming into town this weekend and he's been doing the low carb thing. Normally when he comes down he cheats like crazy (on the diet that is). But this time he's finally below 200 and I don't want to mess that up for him. He's worked way to hard to get where he is now and I want to at least help him maintan. Any good websites to visit? Any good recipes that you love? Help!
p.s. I've already got some off of foodnetwork and allreceipes, but any that you know taste good I'll take gratefully. :)

  • what's up with the candy corn bs? don't make or have any bread with your meals. if you have something easy like sandwiches you can find low carb wraps to put the stuff on. don't make heavy meals with pasta and don't have any sauces unless it's tomatoe sauce. no potatoes and no deserts! doesn't leave room for much though does it. well it's only a weekend.

  • Break out the BBQ and have steaks, or chicken.
    Grill some peppers and make a big salad with lots of veggies.
    Have sweet potatoes instead of regular ones.

    If you stick to fresh foods as opposed to prepackaged ones, you should be ok.

  • Wow. Thanks for the "candy corn bs" response. I've never personally cooked or eaten a low carb meal on purpose and actually want to be able to help keep my dad on track. I also didn't want him to be stuck eating a breadless sandwich or something similar. Not really sure why that elicited such a snarky remark but whatever.

  • Breakfast: scrambled eggs with cheese & veggies, crustless spinach quiche (click the link for the recipe, we use ham instead of bacon), Fiber One cereal (very low net carb)

    Lunches:  Huge chef salads loaded with veggies, include 2 to 3 oz. lean meat .  Add soup (nothing cream of ....).

  • Dinners: lean meat that is grilled or baked, loads of fresh or steamed veggies, salad, tomato sauces. Ideas incl. Swiss steak (cube steak topped with tomato style sauce), chicken parmesan without the breading, chicken in a ginger sauce, stir fry. We love chicken & broccoli stir fry with a Dijon sauce. Just don't serve his with rice.

    Snacks: String cheese, sugar free jello (not pudding), hard boiled eggs, cream cheese on celery, lettuce & deli meat wraps (no tortillas)

  • cheese and deli meat wraps with a little mayo to dip, chicken ceaser salad, chicken BLT salad, steak & veggies
    theres so much to make. just get lots of fruit, meat, cheese, veggies.
    i eat no carbs. except for when i cheat once a week or on special occasions.

  • Chili, a great taco salad, deviled eggs, celery with cream cheese, lunchmeat roll-ups ( just take deli meat ham or turkey are my favorite, spread with a little cream cheese, and put a green onion stem in each one, roll up) spaghetti squash with meat sauce, eggplant lasagna (don't bread the eggplant) crustless quiche, mashed cauliflower, or cauliflower gratin-which I make almost like twice baked potato filling with fat free half and half, and cheese,
