How much did your hubby spend on your...

Wedding/engagement ring???

Has anyone ever heard of the old "rule" that they're supposed to
spend like a certain percentage of either their monthly or yearly
Salary? I can't remember LOL.
If someone can, let me know!

  • The diamond industry started the "rule" that the husband should spend 2 month's salary on the engagement ring. I don't know exactly how much my husband spent on my ring but I know that it was appraised for $6500.

  • I only have a wedding band and I was there when it was bought. He only paid $15 for it. It's just a plain sterling silver band and I LOVE IT! He knows I don't like gold but I love silver,

  • $3400 when it was all said and done. That's less than a month's salary for him at the time. But, I didn't get a wedding, so I demanded a big ring!

  • My original ring was not worth much but the letter he sent me the day of our wedding was priceless! The worth of the ring is not much of an inclination of how much you are loved.

  • $1700 It was not a traditional engagement ring and I love it.
