  • Pericarditis: Inflammation of the Pericardium around the heart. ( The sac that surrounds the heart). Depending on the cause....antibotics can work.

  • Pericarditis is inflammation of the pericardial sac surrounding the heart. It can sometimes be caused by infection, so antibiotics CAN work. Sometimes it's caused by a virus and you simply have to be monitored. It can be extremely serious in some cases, so please watch for signs/symptoms of a heart attack (most women don't have the cardinal symptoms of crushing pain, tingling/numbness in the left arm). If you feel nauseous, light headed, or see spots/floaters, call 911. Better safe than sorry.
