Do you believe this? WE use a bomb, God uses peace>>>>

WE seem to be all about war, people use all their breath and energy to put down people at the drop of a hat if they don't support killing off the entire world one at a time, but when some of our wars are ongoing and God calls us to peace and defense isnt' the solution, we arent letting God do his job. I believe this, if we allow too much pull on the defense we defeat our own land and let it become vulnerable, let's REALLY put things right, come on and see the long term damage to our land, and allow change to happen, it is started in the heart.

  • A lot easier said than done. War is impossible to avoid. There is evil in this world, people who don't believe in God, and unnegotiable terrorists. You can't make peace with everyone. You can't negotiate with the irrational. We have to protect ourselves and defend ourselves. We can go speak about God's love and peace all we want, but that's not going to stop anything from happening.

  • You think God doesn't allow war? Have you read the Bible?

  • Ahem- if one thinks God only uses peace it is clear they have not read their Bible.

  • CLEARLY the son of God himself , THE only son Jesus was supposed to bring the world off it's war axis. BUt the mention of how he spoke and quoted the scriptiure from his own mouth, " I did not come to bring peace but to bring a sword, I will divide nation from nation, mother in-law against daughter in-law, and even the member of their very own household", ....(it does say that in blaming other countries, this isn't the answer, because he was the sword, the divider, the stopper of hate, and he is the division of countries, the divider of families, when we don't take him at his OWN WORD that HE is the divider, not ourselves we take it out of his hands, he will do the separations and the boundary line making, he is the WORD of GOD, he is the only thing we should be praising, and keeping truth with , why would soldiers want to have bibles handy if this wasn' t ??

  • I think there needs to be a balance, we should always seek a path of peace first, but that is not always an option. Just look at bullies, some people are just mean and want to hurt you or your family, and there is no negotiating with them. The only thing they understand is violence. Sometimes war brings peace, it is a necessary evil.

  • God uses peace? What bible are YOU reading? God sent the Israelites to war constantly and commanded the slaughter of every living thing, including children, infants and the unborn, as well as animals. The "scorched earth" brand of war started with Yahweh and was carried on by the Crusaders and the witch-hunters among many others. I firmly believe that the only reason we have not finished up the war in Iraq and brought our soldiers home is because we are TOO peaceful. We are bleeding-heart wimps trying to win a conflict with a vicious and religiously fundamentalist enemy. Unless you are willing to use their own violence against them, you cannot win respect nor fear, and there will be no end to the war until we do.
