When baby is breathin hard what does that mean

My 6 month old has a "cold" so they say but i swear she is getting worse by the minute she has stuffy runny nose cough fever and now it seems like she is breathing really hard and fast.

  • is her skin retracting into her ribs? she might need a breathing treatment. I would take her to the ER if she is having a hard time breathing

  • it is under her ribs and we were at er today and they said she was fine

  • I would take her back to the er. It could be croup or an upper respirtory (sp?) infection

  • Take her back to the ER and make sure you talk to an actual doctor. And let them know that you want treatments done, or you're not leaving. That doesn't sound good at all.

  • Be careful RSV is out there bad.It is baby phnemonia.If not treated it can cause asma.Sometimes we have to fight for what we think is right.Be persistant if you think this is something bad.Doctors sometimes need to be told what you want.
