  • Oh, ok...well, in that case..I have no idea...he either doesn't want to and will eventually, or a doctor will want him to have a little Early childhood intervention with physical therapy. Not saying he has issues, but, he might need a little jumpstart.

  • is he big? Often bigger babies take longer to get moving. He will not be immobile forever just be patient:)

  • Well, is he roly poly? Some kids that are chubby seem to take a little longer I have noticed. About how much formula is he eating a day?

  • Wow that's super weird. Mine couldn't wait to get his hands on solids and has been on them since 4 1/2 months. Very eager eater. Also he's about 8 months and doesn't crawl but scoots and sits up on his own. Some babies are really just lazy. Just work with him consistently and everything will turn out fine :]

  • is the dr. concerned that he's not sitting up by himself yet? i think they should be doing that around 6mo... but anyway, crawling depends on the baby. my first crawled after he walked (which was at 12 months lol). my second crawled at 6 months. and baby #3 is 6 months but doesn't crawl yet lol. she's a fatty though.

  • Holy crap... Infants don't have the capacity to be lazy! He just is developing at a different rate. And if you're feeding him jarred food, that's probably why he's spitting it out still. That stuff tastes like crap.

  • Mine started crawling at 8 1/2 months. I'm a little concerned he's almost 9 months and not sitting up yet. Have you taken him/asked the doctor?

  • Oh, ok...just wondering. He just may not want to. If your doc isn't worried, I wouldn't be.

Do you tote himaround alot? Sit him in a bouncer alot? Does he get the oppurtunity to sit in a saucer thing to help strengthen his back?

  • I've been told that crawling isn't considered a milestone because some babies skip it all together and just go straight to walking. My son will be 8 months old here shortly and he still isn't crawling yet...although he is getting close. However, he has been able to sit up on his own since he was 6 months old and has been eating solids since then as well. I'm more concerned that your son isn't sitting up on his own yet. I think its worth mentioning to his doctor whenever you get a chance to. But just remember that all babies develop at different rates. Usually with milestone ages, its give or take a month or so.
