Does anyone have any abscess's or boils (collection of pus) while pregnant or before pregnancy?

It's a collection of pus, I have a few under my arm and they are very painful. I've been wanting to get them removed but i dont have insurance yet. Does anyone else have these, they can be any where on the body, mine are all in my under arm, I got them about a year ago. They flare up when my period comes but since im 5 weeks pregnant they haven't gone away. Any help? any home remedies? Thanks

  • I get them really bad too. My doctor said they stay longer durring pregnancy because your immune system is supressed. He told me to use a warm compress to bring them to a head and then use a pin to make a hole and drain the fluid. Then apply some neosporin and a bandaid until it finishes draining. I know exactly how you feel! Those things suck!

  • Ugh, I totally know... I get them year round and I get them... down there, ya know. They are awful. I just try and stick them with a pin and drain them. When the pressure is gone they are much more managable. Good luck!
