How does your Church celebrate or define Holy Week?

I know the Catholic Church kicks off Holy Week with Palm Sunday and then several Masses at the end of the week. What about the rest of the Christian churches? How does your Church celebrate?

If you are Catholic please feel free to respond as well.

  • Well for us (JW's) we have been reading the Scriptures of Jesus life the week leading up to his death and tonight after sundown we will observe the Memorial of his death as he commanded his followers to do, we don't observe his resurrection because it was his through his death that he paid the Ransom and showed that he remained Loyal to Jehovah God enduring death on a torture stake.

  • We fast a week prior to remeber the suffering Jesus went thorugh and end with communion and foot washing on Sunday. Sunday morning worshiop is a celebration of his ressurection and conquering of death and the grave that mankind can now be free from sin.
