Does your husband like his job?

Is it his dream career, a career he just fell into, or just a job?

Does he get satisfaction from a job well done, or does he just go through the motions.

Did he have this career or job before you met?

  • When we met, he had a job he had been in for years. I don't think he loved it, it was long hours working in relentless heat but it was good money. Then the company folded so he found a job at an auto parts store. Turns out he liked it! He has been there for about 4 years and has gotten one promotion and is gunning for another. I think he is in this field for the long haul.

  • I think he would be happier doing what he used to do but this is a second best option for him. He used to work for crash fire and rescue (aircraft firefighting) He loved it, thats what his job was in the Marines and he wanted to continue any line of firefighting when he got out. Sadly where we lived at the time it was hard to get in so he started looking elsewhere and then landed a job in law enforcement instead. Is it his dream job? well no, does he like? for the most part, is he good at it? YES.

He got this job after we were married, Life with him has been one continous line of high danger adrenaline rush jobs lol, it is just who he is and one of the things i love.

  • My husband LOVES going to work every day. He works for a large video game developer and has a wonderful career. The company is amazing and very family oriented.

  • He loves his job. He kind of just fell into it. They called him back 11 years after he applied!

  • He loves it. It was his dream career just like his Dad was. College was a little rough, but he got there.
& NO, we met and started dating at age 12and13. LOL. so he was definitely not a dealership mechanic then!

But overall, yes he does love it. as far as satisfaction, he gets it!

  • my husband has always been in auto repair. When we first got married he was at a small chain repair shop. He moved to a dealership within the yr. He worked there for 22 yrs (until March 2009). They hired new management and they were less than honest people, so he quit. It was hard. He was hired by a new auto repair shop which was scheduled to open Spring 2009. It didn't actually open til October 2009. He got a great performance review in December 2009. He was fired on Feb 26, 2010. I don't know how it went south so fast, although they wanted him to sell services that while not harmful to the car, were not going to fix any problems. So, their loss. Now he's decided to open his own shop, where he can do honest work and not have to answer to anyone but himself. Oh btw, he's not a technician, he's a manager. But with his business experience and his gift of gab, he won't have any trouble getting and keeping business.
