did anyone else drink raspberry tea to encourage labor ?

  • NO! This is a HUGE myth. Red Raspberries CAN help menstrual issues. BUT only after it has built up in the system. Raspberry tea has very little if any actual Raspberries in it and not enough to help in that area at all. ONLY VERY HIGH AMOUNTS OF RASPBERRY CAN INDUCE OR HELP LABOR!

    Sorry but this is a huge pet peeve of mine!

  • It doesn't encourage labor nor contractions. It is a uterine tonic. It can help the muscle develop. it won't cause your water to break or bring on labor.

  • if raspberry tea induced labor then i should have popped months ago haha cause i drink it almost every day

  • RLT does NOT induce labor but it can be very beneficial to you during pregnancy. It ripens the uterus and strengthens it which can shorten your labor and reduce the amount of time you will bleed after giving birth.

    It does cause minor contractions but they aren't even as strong as the ones caused by orgasm.

  • it helps to tone the cervix and uterus for when labour comes.
