When do you start teaching boys to stand up when they pee?

  • We would let them take the lead on this one. The first shortly after potty training. They no longer wanted to the chair. They would tip toe to reach. The next one same thing only he would ( with the seat down) Put his knees on the front of the seat hands on the back of the toilet. The fourth would not even use the chair. We had to get him a stool to stand on. So you see each has his own way of things.

  • After they are potty trained, it is cool I put a cheerio in the toilet and told my son aim away hit the cheerio. LOL he loved it.

    Then when it came too pooping- I kind of rewarded him with a .99 car. He learned rather quickly and we have loads of match box cars. :)
