  • Both, I think they are both great achievements!!! I would do the big celebration for high school, maybe something a little smaller for college!

  • Our parents always did Highschool. I didn't even go to my sisters college graduation ceremony. She was getting ready to get married so she had other things on her mind and no time for a party...

  • Our family has always done both, but high school is usually a bigger thing, like an open house. College is usually more formal, like dinner with only family and close friends. We don't always do one for college, either, only the times it's been someone who is still living around the rest of the family. We don't have the graduate fly in just to have a party if they're already settled a thousand miles away.

  • I tried for High school, son was NOT interested. He had three friends come over, we had hot dogs, they played with waterguns and that stupid spray string stuff. Just like little kids. I couldn't believe my eyes. And I was WILLING AND ABLE to do a nice party.

  • We had family over for HS graduation for the twins. Nothing big because HS graduation is EXPECTED in my house.
College graduation will be the same. Nothing big, but not because it isn't a big deal, more because we aren't big partiers. Small family gatherings are more our style. And while one my twins didn't graduate from college, he graduated from a Law Enforcement Training program and we had a small family gathering.
