  • They don't even have those around here anymore. All the fast food restaurants and play areas took them out per health issues.

I played in them as a kid and never had any major illness, but we also didn't realize how disgustingly dirty they were back then. I would avoid them (but I'm sure my hubby would try to sneak him in. He's the farthest thing from a germaphobe!).

  • You mean the "germ-pool"?! LOL NOT unless I wanted them to get sick--and I don't!!! I've seen kids in there who were obviously sick, who have spit up their meal (because they ate too quickly), with overfull diapers, and more! No thanks!

  • blech....nope.

I wasn't even allowed to go in them as a kid, and my dad ran an amusement park. the only day we were allowed to play in them was opening day.

  • No, no ball pits. I worked at McDonalds once and you wouldn't believe the gross stuff in there. And no I don't let my daughter play on the play area at the mall, too many snot nosed germ infested brats running around there. Gross.

  • Absolutely I let her play in them if she wants. I'm no germ-o-phobe and use hand sanitizer when she's done anyways.

  • I did not know they still had those. Around here they have all been replaced with big foam blocks or taken out completely. When they did have them, when my boys were young- yes, I did allow them to play in them.
