First call your local cps office and ask for some information. In most cases they have an introductory class that will talk about foster care and the steps you need to take. Then you have parenting classes and a home inspection. Some states require fingerprinting too. You may also have to include proof that you have some income, at least enough to cover your expenses. And insurance on your property and vehicles.
