How old was your child when they first went outside the home (shopping, etc) without wearing a diaper?

  • 2.5, right after our week of potty-training. Never wore a diaper again. We went cold turkey.

  • About 2 1/2 and he was trained at home for about 6 months before we stopped with the pull-ups all together. Once they're big enough to sit on a toilet you can go for it.

  • I don't know what age has to do with it...for my kids it was when they were doing well at home with the potty training - basically staying dry all day, maybe one accident a day or less. So they were all different ages when going out without a diaper on. It's based on potty training.

  • My oldest was about 4 when he potty trained and we took him to a short run at a store to see how he did,etc.
