How do I make asparagus without it being stringy?

It always turns or really stringy n not nice to eat =[

  • snap off the tuff bottom part of the spears
    lay asparagus on a baking sheet
    drizzle with a little olive oil
    salt and pepper asparagus
    bake at 425 degress for about 12 to 18 minutes, depending on thickness
    It's delicious!

  • That's your problem. Just lightly hold it below the spear and end of the stalk. Bend and the woody part will break right off.

  • Steaming it is best. You need to be careful not to cook it too long. You don't want it all mushy like in buffet lines.

  • chop the bottoms off and bake with olive oil salt and pepper for 20 mins

  • I chop off the end about two inches and grill them with some citrus grill seasoning. Delicious!
