  • My kids are 2 and unborn lol, so I don't have a teenager, but MY hobbies when i was a teen were reading, music, walks, hiking at the river, and later spending every free moment with my boyfriend (now my hubby lol).

  • Both of my girls (aged 14 and 15) love to read, especially Science Fiction, Fantasy and humour (like Terry Pratchett novels). They also enjoy SF based tv shows like Dr Who.

Miss 15 adores anything to do with electronics - she plans on getting an engineering degree in electrical and mechatronics (robotics). Plus she enjoys experimenting with animation software on her laptop (that she saved up for and bought herself).

Miss 14 is very artistic and enjoys painting and drawing. She has recently taken up cross stitch and has been having lots of fun going through my pattern library and finding things that she would like stitch.

Both are active in Scouts - here in Australia Scouts are co-ed so they mix with boys and girls at meetings. This weekend, Miss 15 is off on a 4 day Hike and Camp with Venturers (Senior Scouts aged 15+) which should be great fun.

  • Cont:

One thing I am VERY glad about is that neither of them has discovered Boys yet. They know they exist, of course. Count some very nice boys among their good friends. But have no interest in male-female relationships which is good. I am SOOOO not looking forward to when that happens!

  • Hobbies.....My oldest sons were in Boy Scouts, band, and very active at church. They are now adults with one in college majoring in Music Ed. (hobby turned career) and the other is completing a Law Enforcement Training course to become a cop.

My 15 yr old daughter reads, is teaching herself piano, plays french horn in the HS band, was in marching band, sings in the youth choir, plays handbells at church, and teaches with me at church.

My almost 13 yr old son played baseball until this spring. He plays bassoon, sings in youth choir, plays handbells at church, rides his bike, his scooter, collects Transformers, listens to music.

  • Mine are high school seniors and they are 18 and 19. School activiy wise they both played football, they both run track, my 19yo is in drama, they are both in SADD & they are both Big Brothers. Outside of school they both work part time and when they aren't working they both like to spend time with their girlfriends, play video games and go out with friends. And then separate from their common interests my 19yo loves British comedies, reading (he has a wide variety of tastes) & listening to music (his tastes are fairly ecclectic and bounce from the Beatles to The Gorillaz and everything in between) & my 18yo enjoys watching movies (mostly deep, serious ones) & listening music (80's rock & current pop).
