  • Why? Why do so many people want to push the time? Let the kid come out when they are ready! Your body will know! The kid doesn't expire at 40 weeks.

  • Homeopathic remedies do not work. The only proven methods, to help (when your bodies ready) jump start labor are walking (huge) sex, nip stimulation.

You'll hear cod liver oil, and other crazy things to drink or eat, however they're not proven, and can make labor uncomfortable. Like the one that makes you poo... imagine that while in labor and having no real control over your bowels? Not good.

  • nothin.

tried absolutely EVERYTHING (except the icky stuff like castor I did try that with #2 with disastrous results). and ONLY baby and my body made the decision.

just enjoy the last moments of your pregnancy. when its over you'll regret all the complaining and moaning and groaning about how horrible and uncomfortable you are (I do), and not enjoying it. yeah its uncomfortable and not very pretty (for some) but its a great time.

  • none of those you mentioned, and nothing else. you really just have to wait. if you are like 43 weeks pregnant, you might consider talking to your doctor or midwife about drugs that can induce labor. good luck!

  • Your due date is an estimate. It might be a couple weeks off. So, unless you are 42+ weeks and your placenta is deteriorating or your amniotic fluid level is dropping, your baby needs not be rushed out. If your "real" due date was at 42 weeks and you decided to try and start inducing at 38 weeks...that would and could have you giving birth to a technically full term infant, but, physically dealing with one month premature development.

  • Nothing will work unless your body is ready. Even medical induction will not work unless your body is ready. You can't MAKE a baby come

  • I absolutely second Mrs.Owen86. There are a ton of things out there that claim to induce labor. Some of them will work if your body/baby is ready, others are downright dangerous. It is best to just let your baby come when it is ready; it doesn't have an expiration date on it and you won't stay pregnant forever.
