  • I believe that some of the stories within the bible stem from older mythologies. There are too many similarities to the Greeks, Egyptian, Norse, and Gaelic gods within the bible for me to think otherwise

  • The bible is not "made up", but I believe it's a book full of fables to teach lessons. It may not be a complete factual diary. There is a great part derived from other religions because they were passed down from generations before christianity.

  • I believe that it is part history, and part myth. Yes i do feel that much of it was taken from other religions. sooo many religions have similar stories as to those said in the bible.

  • When you say True, jamesmommy, do you mean all the stories in it are true or that the morals learned from it are true, or both?

  • I think the bible is a collection of exaggerated stories. There may be some fact to some of it, and some twisting of other faiths, and lots of twisting on what really happened. A nice research of history, culture, and religions can tell you that much.

  • It's a book full of stolen myths from other, more ancient religions and cultures, twisted, elaborated and presented as something new and unique- which it's anything BUT. Just do a little research on ancient myths and you'll see the parallels are hard to dismiss.
