Pizza. Ok for toddlers?

Baked not fried. Bread, cheese and tomatoes. Not bad once in a while right?

  • Pizza can be more healthy than a lot of other things (depends on what it's made with). My toddlers love pizza.

  • Nah, not bad at all. Cutting it up into little pieces seems to make it easier to eat for mine. :D

  • My boys LOVE pizza, when they were toddlers I would cut it up in bite-size pieces for them to eat.

  • My toddlers love pizza. I cut the slices very narrow for them (if I cut it into peices they get mad). I think it can actually be a pretty healthy meal.

  • my child is 11 months and eats it. why would it be bad?

Answer by Bearsjen at 12:32 PM on Apr. 3, 2010

  • I'm going to go with NO here. It's important to establish and reinforce healthy eating habits at that age.

  • My toddlers eat pizza once a week. Ocassionally it's the kind you get when eating out, but most of the time I make it here at home. I've only offered them pizza that is loaded with veggies, so to them that is the only kind of pizza they know. While most kids will only eat cheese pizza, mine will eat it loaded with colored bell peppers and other veggies.
