i went 2 the hospital today n they checked me.... they said that i was 1/2 r 1 cen. dilated but they did not feel the baby head.... i just want 2 know wat they mean by that

btw i'm 38 weeks with my 1st child

  • It means you are about 1 cm dialated and the babies head isnt way down there.
    Your fine. You could still go 4 more weeks. With my first I was 40 weeks 4 days.

  • If you walk it can help bring baby down. Walking is a GREAT idea. Unless your Dr told you to stay off your feet then go for a walk. If he said rest then rest.

  • It means the baby hasn't dropped and head is not engaged in the pelvis yet.

  • Ask your doctor to induce you! I was induced at 38 weeks exactly just because I asked to be. MY son was almost 8 lbs very healthy.

  • i'm just scraed now that i only have 2 more weeks r might b least than that.... n i did not know wat 2 expect.... im ready 2 dilate 2 2 cm n have him but i do not know wat would help
