isn't there some way to get the metal taste out of canned beets?

now i see why my parents always got the 1's in the glass jar. but if theres any quick fixes..please share! thx!

  • The only way would be to add seasonings or a sauce to cover up the canned taste.

    Why not just buy fresh beets and cook them up to eat? Fresh taste ever so much better and it doesn't take long to prepare them. When you buy fresh, you can get different varieties, too. I prefer the golden beets...Mmmmmm!

  • I always buy fresh. Peel, slice and boil in apple cider, water and sliced onions.
