My son is almost 9 months and has been eating jar food and cereal since 6 months (so there hasn't been any change to his diet) and he's been getting some juice every day. Lately, he's been constipated, but every once in awhile throughout the day he'll start to push and starts screaming because it hurts him so much. There have been a few occasion where I open his diaper while he's screaming and he's got some poop he's trying to push out but needs help. And its hard and small (like little pebbles). Any ideas what to do to help with this? He goes for his 9 month check up soon so I just need something I can do until we see his dr. Thanks!Answer Question

NEVER USE KARO!!!! Karo is a botulism risk and botulism in infants can be deadly.
Gerber makes stage one prunes & prune apple juice. I would try either one and see if that helps any. Also remember that formula / breastmilk should be given before table foods and that should also help relieve constipation as well.
