My phone won't let me call anyone!! Help!

I have a cell phone, no landline at all, through AT&T. Ever since yesterday morning it has had a little phone with a red line through it at the top of my screen and I cannot send or recieve any calls. It has never done this to me before and I am getting concerned. What is going on?!?!

  • did you turn it off and take the battery out wait a few mins then put the battery in? sometimes that will do the trick.

Also did you accidently change something in your security settings? I know with blackberrys you can turn off a feature where it will do that...I can't remeber what it is called though, I think it might be the radio signal?

  • Have you paid your bill?

    Is your phone FULLY charged?

Did you drop it or get it wet?

  • They do that when you don't pay your bill. I would say call AT&T and see what the issue is.

  • Phone is fully charged, bill is paid (always on time or early - I have never paid it late), and I can't call AT&T since I can't use my phone.

  • You should be able to get ahold of your carrier. Even when our phone is temporarily turned off due to a late payment or something, we can "call" our carrier/provider.

  • Sounds like something is wrong with your phone settings.

  • I think that is the DC setting Soniam. It could be a connection problem OP.
