  • No, not a stupid question. I thought the same with my first child. With the second I thought about it even more. So, I asked my doctor. He said that most research shows they do dream but they just "re-live" the day they had. Whether its true or not I don't know. But it is interesting to think about.

  • I think so! Since the day my 8 week old daughter came home from the hospital she smiles & laughs in her sleep..but has yet to laugh when she's awake! And at times she'll be perfectly sleeping& then all of a sudden let out a terrifying scream like she's just been hurt..but when I go to check on her she's already back asleep..nightmares I guess!

  • Do Babies Dream? - New York Times
Nov 22, 2005 ... It is a well-based inference that babies are dreaming, but it's impossible to say what the dreams are about.
