Lactose Intolerant Children....

My son did soy milk formula but when he was old enough for milk he couldn't have it and soy milk is even a problem (diahreah)...he is now on lactaid and is doing very very well...what kinds a food can i give him and especially if he doesn't like to chew meats and only likes mushy stuff, he is 2 yrs old. i need advice!!!!!! he spits everything up.

  • I'd talk to his pediatrician. That's kind of odd. The soy milk doesn't have any lactose, so that has nothing to do with his intolerance.

  • Soy is a common allergen.

    You can get protein from plenty of other sources. Beans, hummus, fish, nuts, and seeds are all very good protein sources. Beans can be mashed and pureed and made into dips for veggies since he has the texture preference. Almond butter on celery, almond butter on pitas with chopped dried fruit = fruit and nut "pizza," Mashed beans and veggies in tortillas
