do the bride and groom...

pay for the wedding party's dinner after the rehearsal? or does the wedding party "pitch in" and pay for theirs? or does everyone pay for their own?

  • Traditionally, the groom's parents pay for the rehearsal dinner, flowers, and liquor. The bride's parents pay for everything else. This is hardly ever the case these days. It all depends on the situation anymore. If the bride and groom are paying for it all, then they are usually responsible for the rehearsal dinner too.

  • When we got married we paid for it, but we paid for mostly everything on our own. but I think usually one of the set of parents pay for it if the bride and groom dont.

  • Traditionally it's the groom's parents an the bride's parents pay for the wedding. But if the bride and groom are paying for everything themselves then they are also responsible for the dinner after the rehearsal.

  • The bride and groom or their parents have to pay. The wedding party does not pay.
