  • My son had the same problem. I tried EVERYTHING. My doc recommended KARO syrup which does work- but its very high in calories when you have to use it often. I stopped using the Karo syrup and bought some ALOE VERA JUICE from a health food store! It works Wonders & is all natural!

  • If you are breastfeeding add more fiber to your diet, you can give your baby some diluted apple juice. The Karo Syrup is Pure Sugar and not very healthy.

  • Breastfeeding or formula feeding? If your bf exclusively, that shouldn't be happening, and you need to see your doctor quickly. FF, may need a different formula or something. My doctor says never give kids karo syrup.

  • i don't know if this works because i never had to do it with my son but my sister always would push my nephew legs back toward his stomach to help him go. Maybe it helped???

  • No's a botulism risk.

What's baby eating? If formula, you may need to change.

  • No Karo! A 3 week old baby can't have anything other than formula or breastmilk. It sounds like your baby isn't doing well on formula.

If your baby is having problems already you should at least consider relactation. You might be able to get breastmilk from the website MilkShare until you have enough of your own.
