Air Force wives answer please!!!

My husband is considering joining the Airforce school. I have a few questions...
How often is your hubby away without you?

How many times have you ALL been sent overseas?

How hard is it to be without your DH?

Were have you been stationed?

Also is it hard to get into the Air Force?

  • First of all, the Air Force is probably the hardest branch of military service to enter, especially as an officer. He will have some unaccompanied tours (without you - usually schools they will send him to and/or combat situations) - these are not usually very long - a few months or so. For longer deployments that do not have war involvement, you will be able to accompany him. We have been in California, Oklahoma, New York, Germany, Guam and North Carolina. It is a good way to see the world if you cannot afford to do so otherwise. The Air Force usually has good base housing and well-equipped bases as well. It is never easy to be away from your spouse for extended periods of time, but technology is such now that you can talk to each other face to face over the computer.
