Tattooed moms!!!

Does the word "tat" drive you as crazy as it does me??? I honestly can't stand it!!!! Thats like saying you got tattooed with a "gun." Sorry this girl I know was going on and on about how she was getting a "tat" and talking about the "gun" I wanted to tell her that its not a .45 and you can't shoot things with it, and is it really hard to add three letters onto the word?

I'm off my soapbox now...

  • My husband is a tattoo artist, lol.

"Tat", "tatty", "gun"...all drive me crazy!

I'm fine with "getting some ink" although I still prefer "tattoo".

When people call it a "tattoo gun" I get annoyed. It's not a gun, it's a machine.

    GAH!

  • I find that I get a bit annoyed at most uncalled for shortenings of words. "Tat" for tattoo..."Convo" for conversation...."Peeps" for people....ugh.

  • No. Not at all. It's just a word or a different way of saying something. Not that big of a deal.

  • Yes, I think it's tacky, although sometimes I will refer to someone and say 'you know that guy with all the tats' but I never refer to mine as tats.
