What do you think of 7th Generation products?

I want to use more natural cleaners in my home, but don't want to go so far as making my own cleaners. Has anyone tried these? Are they really natural? Are they worth the money?

  • The cleaners are okay...I have better luck with my homemade cleaners. But their diapers are awesome. They are the only kind my dd can wear without breaking out in hives.

  • I like their products- I have used their cleaning products and their dish soap and I think both work well. Filling a spray bottle with water and vinegar works really well, too, though, and that is what I use for the majority of my cleaning these days- cheap, easy, and completely non-toxic.

  • I love those products! Much better than Green Works. The name comes from a Native American proverb actually, about how all we do effects the next seven generations.

As for making your own cleaners, these basic ingriedients can clean almost anything when mixed in different ways:
    Distilled Water
    White Vinegar
    Baking Soda
Fresh Lemon Juice (degreaser and smells good)
    Lavender Oil (antibacterial)

  • I've purchased a few of their products and they work well but they are very pricey. It's really not a big deal to make your own cleaner, grab a spray bottle put 3 parts water and 1 part white vinegar and you have an all purpose naturally anti-bacterial cleaner for PENNIES.
