  • Iheld her first!!! Then they let my husband carry her to the nursery...on the way back, my friend hugged him and he collapsed. It was more emotional for him than it was me!

  • My husband. I had c-sections for both kids so I was strapped to the table.
I made it clear to friends and family though, that other than my husband and medical professionals, no one was to hold them until after I got to.

  • I held all my kids first. I told my hubby that I had my butt kicked from the inside for the last 9 months so I was going to be the first to hold them. With my youngest son the nurse tried to hand him the baby first and he said, "If she doesn't hold him first she'll kick my butt later."
