so he retires. He sells out and retires. Why do we have to live with their sell out? Why did these people sacrifice their careers to appease Pelosi, PBO, and Reid? What's next?

  • He is a sleaze. He misrepresented himself and then when he showed his true colors, couldn't take the backlash. He claims that he has been considering retirement for the last 6 yrs. Funny how he decides NOW is the time to retire. Also, he & his wife can't agree on WHY he is retiring, SHE says death threats, HE says it just time. I wish he had the balls to run on his vote, and own it for real.

  • And wasn't he bought for less than a million dollars? He saw the writing on the wall. I think a lot of them are and that's why we are seeing a lot of them announce their 'retirement'. They know they won't be reelected and they are getting in line for cabinet and other positions. Czar, maybe? We all know how much Obama likes the Czars.

  • As I understand all of this, he has to be very careful about accepting a government appointment. It is illegal to vote for/against and then suddenly have some sweatheart job in the government.

  • He was never there to represent the people. It was all for the party and himself. The good old boys club.

  • It's disgusting the way these politicians play games with our money and bow to the Party while disregarding the people.

  • If he hadn't stepped out he'd have been voted out, though, right?

Are people more upset that he's not running...or that they don't get a chance to kick him around and then kick him out?

I would think that conservatives would be dancing in the streets about his announcement and wanting to know who's next.
