  • don't give him orajel, it just toughens their gums, making it harder for the teeth to get through, thus, making the teething process longer. i just give teething drops (i've heard the tablets work well but don't know first hand), and if it is too bad i give tylonal. my dd is teething, her canine teeth (the worst ever!) i didn't have to give her any meds until those things started..GL

  • Freeze a washcloth or a chicken thigh bone stripped of all bits that the baby could break off. Freeze it too.

There is no way to speed up the teething process. My daughter started teething at six months, and didn't cut a tooth until after 13 months.

  • I gave my son frozen bagels. It didn't speed up teething, but he liked them and any pieces he chewed off were soft and small enough for him to handle.

  • You're not still breastfeeding? The tremendous suction they create while nursing pulls their sensitive and swollen gums away from the nasty sharp teeth within, giving them a lot of relief.

Nothing will make the teeth grow in faster. You need to make sure you're getting enough sleep and rest throughout the day so you don't lose your mind through the night.
