teething question

How do you know your child is teething? Like the signs? Can a 2 month old get teeth?

Reason why i ask is because i think my 2 month old daughter might be getting teeth, she chews on her fist and is fussy at the same time, and when i check her gum's i don't feel anything yet but she will chew like bite down pretty hard on my finger and feel better.

  • Some babies are born with teeth. The "six month" time for teething is just an average.

  • My son started teething around that age, note that the teeth may not appear for up to 6 months once they start "teething". My son's first two teeth appeared at just over 4 months, he's 9 months now and the top two are just now beginning to appear.

  • It sounds like she's teething. It might be a while though before she actually gets teeth. My daughter has been teething for almost 2 months now, and so far, no teeth. But it seems like she might be getting one soon. Signs of teething: being fussy, drooling a lot, chewing on things
