Was I wrong? Was I over-reacting?

My neighbors mom jerked around Alyssa today so I went and filed a harassment charge against her. Was I wrong in doing so? This is NOT the first time this woman jerked Alyssa around. Plus Alyssa has a fractured finger - it was stepped on at McDonald's but a teen not paying attention - or didn't care - but whatever the woman had NO right to put her hands on Alyssa but I've been told I was over-reacting and I shouldn't have filed the charge. What do you think ?? Please give all opinions, suggestions, etc. Thanks

  • Alyssa was sitting on the slide and she tried to step over Alyssa and ended up on her finger.
The first time I was at her house fixing her daughter's ipod for her and this time we were outside. I don't have any clue why she yanked on Alyssa she was nice to us when we first came to the house so not really sure why she jerked Alyssa.
