When I was a young girl, my mom told me that your period stoped when you are in the water, like a shower or if you use a tampond and are in the pool. True?

  • well the tampon absorbs it. the water does make it stopp in the shower and i don;t go swimming when i have my period but i would say that is true too. but its temporary.

  • mine stops while im in the shower or bath. ive never tried going without a tampon in the pool, just because i think its kinda gross.

  • I had a friend who could take a bath or swim for a short period of time without a tampon and she wouldn't bleed, but it was very short, maybe 20 minutes.

  • How do you know it stopped? Maybe it just disperses in the water? I'm a gusher so I wouldn't even want to try to find out!
